PRESC1SE-MI In December 2020, the first six centers started the inclusion of all consecutive patients presenting to the emergency department with chest pain! PRESC1SE-MI is a multicenter, prospective, stepped- wedge cluster randomized controlled trial. The aim is to implement the ESC 0/1h algorithm for the diagnosis of myocardial infarction in the emergency departments of participating centers, evaluating its safety and efficacz compared to current practice. Sponsor of this study is the university hospital Basel with Prof. Christian Müller. The study will run until 09/2025 and has the ambitious goal to enroll around 50'000 patients and to accompany and support around 20 centers during the implementation period. 2000 patients have already been enrolled! We have an exceptionally dedicated study team at the CRIB who are taking care of IT solutions, center preparation, data management, monitoring and supporting the centers during the implementation phase.
