It is a great pleasure for us that the paper “Skeletal Muscle Disorders:
A Noncardiac Source of Cardiac Troponin T” from Dr. Jeanne du Fay de
Lavallaz and Dr. Alexandra Prepoudis has been selected as the winner of the 2022
James T. Willerson Award in Clinical Science.
The award recognizes the best clinical paper published in Circulation in the
preceding twelve months. It serves to recognize and honor the author team.
This award also honors Dr. Willerson, who was a major leader within the American
Heart Association. Among his roles, he served for over a decade as Editor-in-Chief
of Circulation.
