PMI-Projects The PMI (perioperative myocardial infarction/injury) project starts the next round with two new projects: IMPACT-PMI, a retrospective case-control study, has already recruited the first patients. IMPLEMENT-PMI, a multicenter implementation of PMI screening into clinical routine. It started in early 2021 in the following study sites: Lucerne, Olten, Geneva and Innsbruck. In addition, we can look forward to more fantastic publications this fall: the manuscript Incidence of major adverse cardiac events following non-cardiac surgery by first authors Lorraine Sazgary and Dr. Christian Puelacher was published in the European Heart Journal: Acute Cardiovascular Care in October 2020. These have been and/or will be published in the British Journal of Anaesthesia, Anesthesiology, and Annals of Internal Medicine, among others.
