Kardiale autonome Funktion
Leiterin: Prof. Christine Meyer-Zürn Cardiovascular diseases (e.g. heart failure, acute and chronic coronary syndromes, valvular heart disease and cardiac arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation) are associated with disturbances of the cardiac autonomic nervous system. Cardiac autonomic parameters can be used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes and provide prognostic information. We investigate cardiac autonomic function primarily by the analysis of ECG signals. The main focus of our work is the analysis of cardiac autonomic function in patients with atrial fibrillation within the Swiss-AF studies. Our Team: Prof. Christine Meyer-Zürn, MD (Senior Scientist, Oberärztin) Dr. Peter Hämmerle, MD (Junior Scientist, Assistenzarzt) Vincent Schlageter, PhD (Biomedical Engineer) Prof. Michael Kühne, MD (Senior Advisor) Dr. Johannes Schier
